It All Started When ...
I stayed in to watch Tv and then this program came on National Geopgraphic Channel about this super pride , they had eight adult females two pride males and over twelve cubs. But you would think that since the females normally stay in their birth pride [or so i thought] that they would soon have more when the female cubs matured but becuase the pride already had eight adult capable females in their ranks the cubs seemed to be pushed out along with the males.
Then one day while the Super pride's cresh females were looking after the prides cubs two strange cubs came and strangely enoguh weren't killed by the females [which is what would usually happen to any cubs that weren't of the pride's blood] and as the narator went on to describe how the cubs mother had left the pride and now along with her sisters had formed what is called a daughter's pride on the outskirts of the Super pride's territory.
So the cubs weren't killed becuause they smelled slightly of the pride due to the fact that they were related to the adult females of the pride , but when the mother came she got chased becuase she was an adult while her cubs were practically accepted she was not. She got away with her tow cubs ofcourse and that was all i got to hear about the daughter prides unfortunatly so i decided to make this board decicated to it all. Later on though after we have a few daughter prides I will open up more territory for another pride not a daughter pride which has no pride males but instead from what i gathered have mates.
If anyone would like to extend on this or have any ideas then I'm all ears
